KYBELLA ® is a fast, nonsurgical way to remove stubborn fat with minimal effort and little to no subsequent downtime. The injection contains a naturally occurring molecule that dissolves fat. When injected into the subcutaneous fat, like that stubborn area under the chin it will “eat away” at those fat cells. This injectable cosmetic, approved by the FDA, is a double chin treatment. It is also used by our experienced Aesthetic Experts and Injectors to slim down other areas around the body in what are known as “off label” uses.
Kybella ® is known for its ability to shrink a ‘double chin’, but in the hands of our Aesthetic Experts here are Redefine Med Spa, it can also be used to improve definition and reduce stubborn pockets of fat all over the body!
The problem of a double chin isn’t tied to one particular cause. Men and women alike can develop submental fullness as they gain weight due to diet, lack of exercise, and other conditions. It may also appear because of genetics or as a result of physical changes chalked up to natural aging.
Every Kybella ® treatment will begin with a consultation to determine if Kybella ® is right for you. During your consultation our Injector will discuss your aesthetic goals and develop an agreed plan to help you achieve them. The number of treatments varies from patient to patient but should require no more than 6 treatments. Each treatment session is given at least 1 month apart.
After treatment patients can expect some swelling, bruising, or numbness under the chin.
